Vasudev Rangadass, Ph.D., President & Chief Executive Officer:
Vasu is a seasoned executive in the healthcare IT and enterprise management software industries. He most recently founded and led Net.Orange through rapid growth and acquisition by NantHealth. Prior to Net.Orange, Vasu was the first employee of i2 Technologies, which he helped grow to be a global company that revolutionized the supply chain market. Vasu holds a B.S. from Osmania University, a M.S. from Texas A&M University, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Christopher Mueller, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer:
Chris is the founder and visionary behind Lab7. Prior to Lab7, Chris led the RNA sequencing informatics group at Life Technologies, developing in-house sequencing analysis tools and advising senior management on sequencing informatics strategy. He has worked in commercial and academic environments, developing software for scientific and Web apps and has successfully launched proprietary and open source applications. He holds a B.S. from Notre Dame and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indiana University.
Varshal Davé, VP of Sales and Marketing & Chief Product, Positioning, Promotion Officer:
Varshal brings 15 years of strategic life science marketing and sales experience to Lab7, having held senior positions at Molecular Devices, ProteinSimple, and Singulex. He has spent over a decade in the genomics industry following his training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Varshal holds a M.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington, and an A.B. in Chemistry from Duke University.
Cheng Lee, Principal Software Engineer:
Cheng designed the data management and object provenance architecture of the Lab7 ESP. He was previously a database analyst and bioinformatician at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, before he returned to graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin to further develop his skills in analyzing complex data. His research under the guidance of Dr. Joydeep Ghosh was focused on applying “big data” machine learning algorithms to mine biological and medical data. Cheng holds a M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas.
